That was a Total Wash!

I did fabulous with the watching portions, exercise and I got 4 awesome days that I would consider perfect. The next 3 were the opposite. I pretty much threw caution to the wind and ate what ever and the amount did not matter. I had so much stress to deal with, I ended up not dealing with it at all. So, by the time I got back to JC, weighed in, I had gained! Yes, you heard me, gained. I had a long talk with the consultant and she pretty much said. Food is an addiction that people turn to. I need to treat it as such. So I am going to be asking for help with family and friends to deal with things a different way. Major life change for me, but with my age and metabolism, I HAVE TO CHANGE! I can't work that hard for 4 days and then have it be for nothing! I am trying again. Don't ever let me quit trying! Thanks for the ear.

That is a bummer that you gained. This week is a new week. Call whenever. I will be here. I will do my best to motivate or whatever you need. Today I feel hungry, trying not to eat. I just had a mango and am now drinking a diet soda to try to hold me off till dinner.

I have heard two different times that diet soda has something in it that makes your appetite worse. I was drinking a ton of it and kept having the munchies. I am going to quit for a while and see if that helps. I hope it doesn't because I like to drink it!

I just read some stuff about diet soda. One of the things said was that it is sweet and makes you want other sweet things. Another thing that I didn't know is that it is 180 times sweeter than sugar. It was on msn.com if you want to read it. I think if I don't drink more than 5-6 diet sodas a day I am okay. Oh! and don't replace water with soda. I know a nobrainer, but I have to remind myself of it.
